It also facilitates the recovering of waste as a secondary source of raw materials. However, most of Hanoi solid waste treatment centers do not have a section allocated to recycling. If they have one, it is often modest in size or the result of pilot projects that have not been implemented on a large scale. In Vietnam, the specificity of recycling concerns the informal sector, which plays a major role in this process.
